Today, after Center Time and very short Morning Meeting, we had a special visitor - the Minnesota Sinfonia (a mini-orchestra) visited Burroughs today. One of the musicians, a cellist, came to our room before the concert to share her instrument with us. After her talk, we headed down to the gym for a really nice concert. After the concert, we talked about our Penny Pal donations, and counted out a dollar of each type of coin. Each child made an estimation of how much money was in the bucket -- they ranged from $1.75 to $4,000,000.87. I'll bring it to the coin counting machine at the bank and see how much it is actually.
We then read a book about thanksgiving, which told the story of the Pilgrims. Tomorrow we will talk about things that we are thankful for. We finished up with Choice Time.
