Today, after Center Time and Morning Meeting, we met a new High Hat friend (Regular Rabbit) who introduced us to the /r/ sound, and practiced using the sounds to make words.

After Media, we then started to read a new chapter book, called Flat Stanley, in preparation for a project (more on that to come this week). It was our reading lesson for the day, because we used the Interactive Read-Aloud strategy, in which the kids focus on comprehension, active listening, and making meaning from the text.

After all of that, it was time to pack up and head home!
