Hello all,

Sorry for the late post once again - three meetings after school.

Today was our 100th day of kindergarten!!!! I can hardly believe that it has already been 100 days - September seems like just a few weeks ago, somehow.

We had a busy day celebrating our 100th day. The kids made badges to wear that proclaimed them to be "100 days smarter." Then we took a break from the 100th day idea and had a guest reader, Rabbi Jared Saks from Temple Israel. He read two books to us, and also explained a bit about what a rabbi does - not too many of us knew, and the subject came up in a book that Ryan E.'s mom read to us yesterday (the one about Dr. Martin Luther King and Rabbi Abraham Heschl). After Rabbi Saks finished, we finished up making our Flat Stanleys - they are all now officially "unbald." The kids glued yarn hair onto their little guys. They are really cute (the Stanleys, I mean, but the kids are cute too...).

After that,we were back to 100th day festivities - the kids took turns doing a scavenger hunt in the classroom for the numbers 1-100 and making a 100s day necklace out of Fruit Loops cereal. Both were fun - hopefully you saw either or both come home today.

By the time we finished all of that, it was time to pack up and go home.
