Today, after Center Time and Morning Meeting, we did our self-portraits for January (a day late, but they are done nonetheless). Then we had a PTA mom, Faith McGown, come in to talk to the kids about the Read-a-thon (the Read-a-thon blog is here, if you're interested). Then we read a story about Groundhog Day, and made a groundhog project that the kids took home today.

Then we headed up to the computer lab for our time there. When we got back down to the room, we met a new High Hat friend, practiced "buddy reading," and had a short Choice Time to wrap things up.
