Today we had a busy day. After Center Time and Morning Meeting, we read bit nit more of Flat Stanley - we should finish that book up on Monday. After that, we had art class in our room with Ms. Gilman. The kids started a painting project, that they will finish up next week - all about tropical fish.

After art, we talked about the Flat Stanleys that we are going to send next week (the big parade to the mailbox will be on Tuesday - check the newsletter for the times. The kids learned about addressing a letter, and we also talked about how the post office works - how our Stanleys will get to their destinations.

After that, we had a short Choice Time. After Choice Time, we saw a number of photos on the Internet that another classroom had posted of their Flat Stanley project. I think that made the project a little more real to the kids - they will be much more into it once the letters and pictures start rolling in!

After all that, it was time for us to pack up and go home!
